Safety isn’t an add-on
Dipity is built for real‑world connection without exposing your identity or precise location. You control when - and if - you reveal

Safety By Design
Anonymous-first
See interests + intent, not names/photos.
Venue-level only
No dots, distances, or trails.
Consent always
Mutual opt-in before any reveal.
No data sales
We don’t sell personal data.
How Safety Works in Practice
Anonymous Until Mutual Reveal
You see interests and intent — not names or photos — until both people explicitly choose to reveal.
Verification Behind the Scenes
Dipity verifies real people and monitors behavior patterns to reduce spam, bots, and abuse — without exposing your identity.
Presence expires automatically (unless you say so)
Your check-in disappears when you leave a venue or choose to go invisible.
Instant block and report
You can block anyone immediately and report behavior in a few taps.
How we handle your data (and protect it)
We collect only what’s necessary to make Dipity work — and nothing more.
How does instant block work?
If you block someone, they are immediately removed from your Dipity experience. You will no longer see each other, and neither person can initiate contact again. Blocking is private and takes effect instantly. You can unblock to correct mistakes
What happens when I report behavior?
When you submit a report, our safety systems review it alongside contextual signals and prior activity. Reports help us identify patterns and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, restrictions, or removal from Dipity.
What happens if I get reported?
Reports are reviewed carefully and in context. A single report does not automatically result in punishment. We look for repeated behavior or clear violations before taking action, and enforcement decisions are designed to be fair and proportionate.
How do you verify users?
Dipity uses behind-the-scenes verification and behavioral checks to ensure users are real people — not bots or bad actors. Verification supports accountability while preserving anonymity until mutual reveal.
What tools will venue staff have?
Venue partners may have access to limited, privacy-safe tools to support safer experiences. These tools focus on escalation and support — not surveillance — and never reveal user identities or personal data. We will have options for you to silently notify venue staff so a human can help IRL if necessary
How do you protect my privacy on the map?
Dipity is designed so the map never singles out individuals. We only show venue- and area-level presence, not exact locations. To protect anonymity: - We show activity only when there are enough people in a place (a minimum crowd threshold). - Counts are shown as ranges (like “10–19”), not exact numbers. - Map updates are smoothed over time to prevent “tracking” changes moment-to-moment. - We never show dots, distances, or trails.Your identity stays private unless you explicitly choose to reveal it.
Do you use my precise location?
We may temporarily access your device’s location to determine venue presence and show your own position on the map. Your precise location is never shared with other users, and we do not display location trails or history.
